First Aid Appointed Person
A one day course which provides an introduction to basic first aid techniques to cover health emergency situations that the worker may experience whilst at work. The training is in the form of a presentation backed up by group exercises and discussion, demonstration and practical application. On completion candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge by the practical application of techniques and answering a set question paper. On the successful completion of this course the candidate will be issued with a Course Certificate.

The course comprises of training In aspects of first aid emergency
situations which the worker may experience whilst working In the
community. This training Is in the form of a
presentation backed up by work books, demonstration and
practical application.
On the completion of this course the student will be able to demonstrate their knowledge in the following areas:
• the limits of own responsibility

• use of primary health care services

• basic first aid techniques

• the recovery position

Assessment Is by observation of the student demonstrating
practical first aid techniques and answering a set question
paper.

On the successful completion of this course the student will be
Issued with a certificate.
