Protection of vulnerable Adults for Managers
Emphasis is on all managerial aspects of POVA from recruitment to support and training of staff, Internal / External policies and legislation and promoting a work culture conducive to POVA.


Any manager who has responsibility for the selection, recruitment, training and supporting of staff in a health and/or social care environment and is responsible for the protection of vulnerable adults


6 hours (1 day)


The course will identify the legal and ethical responsibilities including the POVA list and POVA first. The course covers current legislation and practical exercises that will consolidate and enhance existing knowledge surrounding issues of abuse and includes staff selection processes, support, training and supervision.


There is no assessment of gained knowledge for this course. However managers will be expected to produce an action plan of improvement to current processes which will minimise the risk of or potential for abuse.


All candidates will receive a certificate from Northern Training Ltd.
