Deprivation of Liberty Basic Awareness
The Course will consist of discussion around the Law and contain examples of Deprivation of Liberty and Restraint and the differences between both.

All Care Personnel involved in Residential Care or Nursing Care at this time.

Half Day

The Course will consist of discussion around the Law and contain examples of Both Deprivation of Liberty and Restraint and the differences between both.

At the end of this course the students will be able to
Define and understand Deprivation of Liberty

Understand the difference to Deprivation and Restraint

To comply with Guidance

Will understand the action to take if Deprivation takes place

Identify the the potential harm to the client and staff

Assessment will be through completion of Group tasks and a question and answer session
