| A half day course which, through presentation and discussion, will highlight the main aspects of the subject, causes of infection, sources of infection, routes of infection, times when personal protective equipment must be worn. Assessment will be through answering set questions and demonstrating effective hand washing technique. | A half day course designed to raise awareness of the situations where abuse could occur, the different types of abuse and procedures for reporting abuse. A certificate of attendance will be issued upon completion. |

| Cross Cultural Awareness Details |
| A half day course designed to raise the awareness of cultural differences that may affect the successful delivery of care, cause undue problems or embarrassment and establish how and when to obtain information on specific cultural issues. | Health and Safety Details |
| A one day course, but can be split into three separate modules of approximately two and a half hours. Gives the candidates knowledge in all aspects of health and safety at work. Successful completion of the end of course exam will lead to a nationally recognised qualification through the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. |

| A one day course which provides an introduction to basic first aid techniques to cover health emergency situations that the worker may experience whilst at work. On completion candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge by the practical application of techniques and answering a set question paper. On the successful completion of this course the candidate will be issued with a Course Certificate. |
